Adopting IFRS and the position of African countries

This map of the world (this map is showed in the web site of the IASB) displays countries that have adopted IAS/IFRS (countries in red), countries that have begun to move to IAS/IFRS (countries in orange) and countries that have adapted their local standards to the IASB’s standards (countries in yellow). We can gather that the majority of African countries (countries in white) waits until now to make a decision. I invite all the African accountants to give their ideas and opinions about the position of their countries in this area.
